I undertook a Barefoot Practitioner Training in 2010. This was an integrative self-healing course working with meditations and conscious breath-work. The experience was transformative and inspired me to pursue a career as a therapist.
I then went onto complete a Masters in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy with Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC) and am now a UKCP registered psychotherapist. I have worked in private practice since 2013 and in addition worked for two years as an honorary psychotherapist within the NHS. Prior to starting in private practice I worked as a counsellor with people experiencing problematic drug and alcohol use.
My background is in advice and support work in the voluntary sector, specifically in the fields of housing and homelessness. I have also worked with women who have experienced sexual exploitation.
