I undertook a Barefoot Practitioner Training in 2010. This was an integrative self-healing course working with meditations and conscious breath-work. The experience was transformative and inspired me to pursue a career as a therapist.
I then went onto complete a Masters in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy with Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC) and am now a UKCP registered psychotherapist. I have worked in private practice since 2013 and in addition worked for two years as an honorary psychotherapist within the NHS. Prior to starting in private practice I worked as a counsellor with people experiencing problematic drug and alcohol use. My training in couples work was undertaken with the Centre for Relational Couples Therapy
My background is in advice and support work in the voluntary sector, specifically in the fields of housing and homelessness. I have also worked with women who have experienced sexual exploitation.
